Ruby Hotels

"Ruby Nights" was completed in 2014 using glass mosaic and epoxy grout on wedi board panels and exterior latex paint on the existing concrete wall. It is 400 feet long by 8 feet high. Located in the entryway of the Ruby 2 Hotel, this welcoming mosaic mural of dancers and performers highlights the entertainment district, where the hotel is located. The mosaic designs highlight the surrounding 1920s architecture to reflect this time period.

I worked with the hotel owner and design team to create this custom work. The materials are durable, maintenance free and beautiful. They add a surprising splash of bling to an otherwise dull parking garage. This project was commissioned by owner Jerry Dicker of GVD Commercial with a budget of $8,000 and installed outside Ruby 2 Hotel in Spokane, WA.
